We visit Taipei once in a while, given it is quite close to where we live, and prices in general are relatively cheap when comparing to other travel locations. Many areas are kids friendly and public transport just keep getting better. I was pretty impress with their high speed rail, which can travel to anywhere in Taiwan within hours. That said, this post will be concentrate on Taipei city.

Accommodation

If you want the best hotel in Taipei, you cannot move past Regent Taipei Hotel. That was my kid’s first hotel they ever live, and probably with the fondest memories. Of course, the price will be be cheapest, typically around US$400/day for families.

However, in the past few years, we have been living in the same hotel given it’s good location, attractive price, and access to transport and shops – Two Tails Hotel (used to be Park City Hotel, I guess they have changed operators). Even though the names has been changed, it continued to receive top reviews online and from my friends.
